Vrbovec: Reuse concept in daily life

Vrbovec: After our Christmas action, we managed to organize a small proffesional lecture from our activist Tihana Tarandek in an philosophical aspect on how to implemet re-use concept in everyday lifestyle. The lecture was filled with information about problems focused on non-sustainable consumption of natural resources, ecological problems, tehnical revolutions which we actually dont need if they are not focused on sustainable development and how does hyper production effects on our way of thinking changing our moral values.

The guidelines of this lecture/workshop were following; we live on this planet like we have another one in the reserve, values are oriented towards economy of violence, system of civil education is headed towards values and there is no clear global concept of life development.

Krizevci: Waste and society

As a part of Ecology lecture on Agricultural university in Krizevci Marijan Galovic Held a lecture on waste and society in front of 43 students of 1st year of study. The aim of the lecture was to improove the current curriculum of the cathedra with some environment protection elements, which lack in the lecture concept. The idea behind the call, beside the explanation of human impact, was to implement practical tips and tools which are supposed to minimize human impacts on earth lifecycles – whether we are talking about carbon, nitrogen, water or anything else. Human race so far only managed to proove that it does not fit into earths circular way of functioning.

The lecture and small debate after it were really vivid and the most important thing is that these future agricultural engineers do care about the environment but the facts about our (as human) true impacts don’t reach average citizens.

The lecture was held on 21st of February 2009 on Agricultural university in Krizevci.
